MEALS ON WHEELS CONTINUES SERVING

As Texas continues to open, we must all do our part to slow the spread of COVID-19. Meals on Wheels San Antonio IS an essential service to the 5,000 homebound senior clients we serve every year and with your help, we are doing everything we can to safely provide nutrition to our at-risk senior neighbors.

Meals will be delivered Monday–Thursday. Routes will continue being picked up from 10:00 am – 11 am from our headquarters at 4306 NW Loop 410, 78229.

Meals will not be delivered on Fridays as we work to minimize interactions for everyone’s safety.
You help is still needed to make sure our community’s older and disabled neighbors receive more than a meal. Just $25 can provide a client a week’s worth of meals and help purchase additional food and fulfill emergency food box needs.

In-home assessments have been suspended, but our Client Services team continues to respond to new inquiries for service and conduct over-the-phone assessments using our standard eligibility criteria.

We continue to utilize both staff and volunteer delivery drivers and your generous offers of support and interest in delivering meals to our clients during this time of uncertainty is greatly appreciated! At this moment Meals on Wheels is extending an invitation to the community to come out and volunteer. If you are interested, please contact Casey Parker for more details. We have suspended in-home visits through our Friendly Visitor program.
