About us Since Blessed Sacrament Academy was established in San Antonio 1926 by the Sisters of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament, our mission continues with compassion, respect and acceptance to educate and encourage children, youth and families in need. Though our diverse programs, we daily offer hope to the vulnerable, and give them the tools and support to become contributing members of society. To more comprehensively meet this mission, Blessed Sacrament Academy opened the Child Development Center early childhood education program for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years in 1989, and the Parents’ Academy parenting education program for parents and caretakers of all ages in 1994.
